This custom Bolster pillow makes a great indoor or outdoor decorative pillow, and provides excellent side support for any sofa, bench, or lounge chair. Because the filling is foam rather than loose fiber, this is as much a cushion as a pillow, and we offer a variety of firmness levels for your comfort. The Bolster filling is Dacron wrapped to provide a full, luxurious look and feel. We can also make this product in custom shapes as desired, just enter the largest diameter and width dimensions, then provide additional detail when checking out, or call us at 1-877-505-0012 to place your order. Description

Diameter: Please enter the thickness you would like for your bolster pillow, to the nearest 1/4″. This is measured seam-to-seam across the end if you have an existing bolster, excluding any welting that may be in place. If this is not replacing an existing cushion, we recommend measuring the diameter for a cushion to be used as an armrest, a common use for Bolster pillows. In this case, measure the distance from your elbow to the seat while sitting in a comfortable chair. Typical diameters range from 6″ to 12″.

Width: Please enter the length you would like for your bolster pillow, to the nearest 1/4″. This is measured seam-to-seam across the length if you have an existing bolster, excluding any welting that may be in place. IF this is not replacing an existing cushion, we recommend measuring the width for cushion to be used as an armrest, a common use for Bolster pillows. In this case, measure the distance from your elbow to the tip of your fingers while extended, plus 2″. Typical width for a Bolster cushion is 18″ to 24″.

Types:

Standard Indoor/Outdoor filling is a closed cell foam, wrapped with a Dacron padding to provide a full, high quality look not typically present with lower end cushions. This foam is long-lasting, antimicrobial, mold-resistant, and will perform well in either indoor or outdoor applications. It is well suited to humid and rainy environments, or poolside use.
Premium Indoor/Outdoor filling is similar to the standard version but is even longer lasting, it will withstand the extreme use associated with high-traffic commercial installations.
Dryfast is an open cell foam that will perform similarly to the Standard Indoor/Outdoor, but because of the open cellular structure will dry from exposure to water much faster. This foam is also antimicrobial, mold-resistant, and comes with the full dacron wrap for high-quality look and feel.
Polyfiber is a soft flexible filling material, a synthetic alternative to feathers, which enables a soft, comfortable feeling on back cushions and decorative pillows. This material is also antimicrobial, and mold-resistant, and is a good choice for both indoor applications and outdoor applications where it can be exposed to the elements.

All of our fillings meet the California CA-117 requirements for flammability standards.

Firmness:

Soft firmness is typically used for back cushions, bolster pillows, or seat cushions which are thicker than 5″ or more.
Medium firmness is a good balance between soft comfort and firm support, and is typically used for seating between 3-5″, or thinner back cushions made with foam.
Firm foam is typically preferred by customers who want to maximize support, and is most requested on the thinner cushions, both seats and backs.

It is possible to have cushions made with a combination of firmness, e.g. a soft top with a firm bottom, to take your customization to the next level.

Keep in mind that the thicker the foam, the firmer it will feel, even for softer firmnesses.

Standard Indoor/Outdoor

This closed-cell foam, wrapped with Dacron padding, provides a fuller, high-quality look not often seen in lower-end cushions. It is long-lasting, antimicrobial, mold-resistant, and ideal for both indoor and outdoor use, especially in humid or rainy environments or poolside settings.

Premium Indoor/Outdoor

Our premium option is designed for extreme durability and can handle the heavy use often found in commercial spaces. It shares many of the same qualities as the Standard version but offers even longer-lasting performance.

Dryfast

An open-cell foam that dries much faster than traditional foam after water exposure. It is also antimicrobial, mold-resistant, and comes with a full Dacron wrap for a high-quality look and feel. Ideal for outdoor applications.

Polyfiber

This soft, flexible filling is a synthetic alternative to feathers, offering a plush, comfortable feeling for back cushions and decorative pillows. It's antimicrobial, mold-resistant, and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
