Customize Sofa Cushions

This custom Sofa cushion set is typically made with 2 or 3 seats and 2 or 3 back cushions. If you have a Sofa with a unique setup, e.g. a separate arm cushion or pillow, or a pocket back for attaching to the frame, we have lots of experience with these variations and are happy to make this for you as well!

Once you purchase, we will be happy to receive sample cushions to use as a guide for production, and we also provide free template kits to make it easier if your cushion isn’t quite as regular as the standard shapes.

We can make cushions in just about ANY shape, size, we can produce almost anything you can dream up. If you want something not offered here please see our Unique shape cushion page and design yours. However, below are our most common shapes:

Rectangle: 95% of our cushions are produced with a rectangular shape. An oldie but a goodie!
Round Corners: This is also a popular choice, and our customers are usually quite happy with our standard round, but once you purchase let us know if you need a specific radius for your cushions and we will produce to your specification.

Sofas vary in number of cushions, we can customize to fit any furniture you have, but the most common configurations are:

2 Seats 2 Back: Makes for a very clean look.
2 Seat 3 Backs: Most popular option, especially when selecting polyfiber back cushions.
3 Seats 3 Backs: This is popular for some of the larger Sofas, especially where a more traditional look is preferred.

Description

If you are measuring existing cushions for a replacement set, please measure them from seam to seam across the edge of the cushion, not including any welting that may be in place.

Back Width: This measure is taken from one side of the cushion set to the other, including both back cushions if a double backed Sofa. We’ll do the math to calculate for individual cushions! Best is to measure across the top of the back cushions, measuring from seam to seam to the nearest 1/4″. For Sofas typical measurements are from ~60″ at the narrowest, up to 100″ or more for very large furniture.

Seat Width: This measure is taken from one side of the cushion set to the other, including both cushions if a double seated Sofa. We’ll do the math to calculate for individual cushions! Best is to measure across the back of the cushions, measuring from seam to seam to the nearest 1/4″. For Sofas typical measurements are from ~60″ at the narrowest, up to 100″ or more for very large furniture.

Seat Depth: This measure is taken from the front of the seat cushion to the back, preferably across the side of the cushion. Measure from seam to seam, to the nearest 1/4″. Typical measurements are from ~18″ to 24″, and even up to 36″ for deep seating Sofas.

Back Height: This measure is taken from the top of the back cushion to the bottom, from seam to seam to the nearest 1/4″. Very important: don’t forget to subtract the seat thickness if you are measuring your furniture rather than an existing cushion! Typical measurements are from ~18″ to 26″.

Seat Thickness: This measure is taken from the top to the bottom of the seat cushion, preferably at the corner. Measure from seam to seam, to the nearest 1/4″. Typical thickness measurements are from 3″ to 8″.

Back Thickness: This measure is taken from the back to the front of the back cushion, preferably at the corner. Measure from seam to seam, to the nearest 1/4″. For Sofa cushions, typical thickness measurements are from 3″ to 8″, depending on the filling choice. Foam backs are typically thinner to allow for a cleaner look and more seat depth. Polyfiber back cushions are often a bit thicker as the filling is fluffier.
